Skywatch, after and before

Well, we're hot and dry again. Truly, I can't recall a more brutal August in our little country! The dry heat provides sunsets like this one from tonight - nice, but without much oomph:
And so, I decided to make this post a little more interesting, and present you with another sky photo from our trip to the beach last week. That was a bit more picturesque!
Ah, that's the stuff! As always, feel free to click on either photo to get a closer view.

And for more fun sky-oriented photography from around the world, go check out Skywatch Friday! You'll be glad you did :)
Have a great weekend, everyone!

Marvelous captures, Toby! There's something breathtaking in the starkness of your first shot and you can almost feel the heat. And, of course, I love the clouds in the second shot and the rays of the sun shining through them. I don't think you have to "wish" to be a photographer any longer, you ARE a very good photographer! Have a lovely weekend!

I think both shots are lovely, Toby! I will admit that the second one has a bit more drama, though. :)

Great sunset shots. I like the rays from the sun in both of these, and the sparkle on the water in the second shot.

Clouds make all the difference in a sunset! Our skies have been disappointing of late too. The autumn will provide different and better opportunities! Meanwhile, these are great shots! Happy skywatching and happy Friday!
