Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors! #39

I can't believe I'm late getting this out! It was just a wee bit busy around here, with the first day of school this morning! Wow! I'm really sorry to see the summer vacation go...

Anyway, here's a photo that I took a few years ago and posted to Robin's old meme, Summer Stock Sunday. Of all the photos I've taken, this one most reminds me of summertime, and so I thought it appropriate to post today, as we wave farewell to summer vacation:

And there are some nice windows in the background there, so we're all squared away :)

Now it's your turn! To participate in Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors, just post a photo of a window, door, or anything architectural, link here, and then sign up in the widget. Thanks so much for playing with us - I can't wait to see what you've found for us this week!

Summer Stock #2!

Here's another photo that I took with Robin's meme, Summer Stock Sunday in mind! Come on, does anything really say summer better than this?

Yummm. Looks good, right? But even more importantly, I took a bite moments after taking these, and can absolutely vouch for the sweetness of this watermelon!

Go check out more summery photography at Summer Stock Sunday, at Robin's great blog, Around the Island. Happy Summer, everyone! And have a great week!

Summer Stock - Green Grapes!

Well, the fact is, my kids are still in school, and so aside from the ridiculous heat, it's not really summer for us yet. I have no photos of beaches or pools, or even bathing suits. But luckily, the grocery store doesn't need to wait for vacation to begin to get that summery feeling. I found these today - delicious!

It seemed a shame to leave them locked up like that, so I let them take a peek at the free life.

Yum!

Happy almost Summer, everyone!

Summer Stock - A new meme for me!

Robin, that talented photographer (and fellow Israeli) from Around the Island, has a fantastic meme that I'm pleased to be participating in today. It's called Summer Stock Sunday, and as you can guess, it's for posting summery photography. It started up today, after a long non-summer break, and I just happen to have an appropriate scene:

Yes, in my neighborhood, the sprinklers in our park are a sure sign of summer. Aren't these pretty? They look even nicer up close, so feel free to click on either photo, if you'd like to enlarge them.

And do go and check out more cool summer stock photos at Robin's blog. Happy Summer, everyone!
