Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors! #117

Welcome back to your favorite little meme!
I happened to find this photo of a doorway that I took, back when we had our wintry storm a few months ago. I decided to post it now, in solidarity with all of you out there who are having a miserably cold and snowy winter! Here in Israel we're still in a drought, that storm was pretty much the beginning and end of our winter. Here's hoping it returns! And meanwhile, here's my snowy door:
Granted, at second glance, I see that there's not an awful lot of snow here. But it's the thought that counts, right?
:)
Now it's your turn! Please play along with us at Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors! by posting your photo of a window, door, or anything architectural, linking here, and then signing up in the widget. Skywatch - last month's clouds

I found these in my January 2014 folder; apparently they slipped through the cracks and went unnoticed and unposted until now. I confess to not remembering exactly when and where I took these! I suppose that's the blessing and curse of keeping my camera in my bag! On the one hand, it could have been anywhere... but on the bright side, at least I did manage to take them, and they are awfully pretty :)

Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors! #116

Welcome back to your favorite little meme!
Remember Mamilla, the new-ish outdoor mall in Jerusalem? Well, I'm pleased to bring you a daytime view:

I've been to Mamilla about a dozen times, but only after looking up to take this picture did I notice what's going on here architecturally, and it's pretty cool: one side is built to look like old-time Jerusalem, while directly opposite is a more modern style. (You can actually see this in action, if you look carefully, in my previous Mamilla post, linked above.) They've done a nice job of this! I'm also curious as to what's behind those balconies - are they really apartments, as they're meant to seem? Or are they just super-fancy offices of the stores below? Fascinating :)

Now it's your turn! To participate in Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors! just post your photo of a window, door, or anything architectural, link here, and sign up in the widget, below. Thanks so much for coming by, and have a wonderful, whimsical week!

Sorry, but I found one more door that I forgot to post from my previous trip up North :) This little shop was right next to the pizzeria that we went to in Rosh Pina. Charming, isn't it?

Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors! #114

Welcome back once again, to your favorite little meme!
Well, my vacation photos are finished, and now we can get back to some local windows and doors. Here's the cool photo that I was telling you about last week - it's a reflection of the sun rising in the windows of Neve Daniel, the small town across the valley from my house. Isn't that just nifty?
