Ruby Red Tomatoes

My kids don't like salad as much as I do, but I like them to eat fresh vegetables. So every so often, I make a bowl that looks like this, and it gets finished pretty quickly:

Here in Israel, the cucumbers and tomatoes are sweet as candy, and our kids eat them accordingly!

For more reddish photography of the week, go check out Ruby Tuesday, hosted by Mary. Happy Tuesday, everyone!

Scrumptious!

I just blogged about a New York Times article discussing bloggers' penchants for photographing food.
Fascinating social commentary.

Nothing like Israeli tomatoes and cucumbers. Add a twist of lemon and I'm in heaven.

I'd also add olive oil! These vegetables look so fresh and good.

That's exactly how my son eats salad. My daughter (who has food issues) isn't quite there yet, she sticks to carrot sticks and raw red pepper.
