Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors! #154

Welcome back all, to your favorite little meme!
We're almost, almost done looking at my photos from this past summer, and then we can get back to Israeli architecture! Meanwhile, here are the highlights from the second half of the boat tour that my family went on in downtown Chicago:

As a little girl, this one was always my favorite :)

Now it's your turn! Please play along with us here at Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors! by posting your photo of a window, door, or anything architectural, linking here, and signing up in the widget, below. Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a wonderful, whimsical week, all!

Fantastic architecture. What's in the ninth picture?

What fantastic shots! I love the skyline, boats and especially the lighthouse. Great details. Thanks for sharing.

Chicago is a cool city on mighty Lake Michigan. Naturally, we see many a large numbers of the modern glass and steel towers, a glittery look at the present. Yet plenty of classic architecture such as the lighthouse and planetarium - and the hint of a ferris wheel, which transcends the old and new eras. A lovely good at a really dynamic city!

The ninth photo is of the Adler Planetarium, another one of my favorite childhood spots :)

I wonder if it's known how many windows that skyscraper has:):) Have a great week, Toby!

Wonderful - these really bring the feel of the big city.

I hope it's not too tacky but since I'm not blogging at the moment I shared a doorway that I just posted in my shop tonight, as I was looking for a distraction from the news...

It's a doorway in the older section of Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus.

Robin, it's not in the least bit tacky, I'm always honored to have you join us here! Here's hoping for peace and quiet.

I've always wanted to see Chicago (and to think I am much closer to this city than you are, and still have not managed it!)

VioletSky - go for it!! But maybe not right this minute, I think the weather is a bit brutal...

Thanks Toby, and yes, quiet would be awfully good...
