Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors! #62

Here we are again, back for everyone's favorite meme!
Almost every week I say "this week, I'm going to find time to get back into blogging. At the very least I'll post to those memes that I used to participate in, Shadow Shot Sunday, Macro Monday, Ruby Tuesday, and Skywatch Friday. Or maybe I'll just post one of the hundreds of photos that don't fit into those categories but are lovely nonetheless. Or even better - I'll post to A Time of the Signs! That was my original blog; I have so much good material just waiting to be shared. How long does it take to post a post, anyway..."

And every week I somehow find myself back here at Sunday evening. "Well," I say, "at least I have Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors to keep me in line. If it weren't for this little meme that I've created and now feel responsible for, I probably wouldn't blog at all."

So please just know, gentle readers, that although I don't share as much as I used to with all of you, it doesn't mean that I don't want to. It just means that for now, my real, in the flesh life has caught up with my virtual life, and this is as much time as I can dedicate to the cause. That's okay! I really like my in the flesh life! But here's hoping that in the not-too-distant future, I can find a little more time to dedicate to sharing the other goodies that I have with you, too :)

And with that not terribly brief introduction, here we go! Once again, I've found a synagogue to share with you. Here in Israel, we are blessed with no shortage of synagogues, and this one is actually located across the street from me. The building itself isn't terribly fancy looking from the outside, but I did like how these windows at dusk created a nice composition:

And here's the front door, another of its somewhat interesting components:
That's it for me - now it's your turn! To participate in Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors! just post a photo of a window, door, or anything architectural, link to it here, and sign up in the friendly little widget, below! It's that easy! Then, of course, go and check out what the other players have posted - it's always fun to get a quick architectural tour of the world from the comfort of your living room!

Have a wonderful week, everyone!

Life may intrude into blogging time - however life with its varying themes comes first. This is a fun blog and I'd be happy to see what else you do have the time to post. That is, when you find the time :)

This synagogue is quite beautiful, the windows and especially the door are stylish in this spiritual place. Nice!

The arch detailing on the doors are a special touch.

Shalom Toby, it's good that you have things to keep you busy that you enjoy so much. Thanks for keeping this meme going in the midst of all that.

Those arched windows are very attractive especially with the sunlight turning that Jerusalem stone all golden. I like the door too.

I love the first photo! It is really dramatic - in fact if you cropped the bottom so that it was just the tree and the building I would hang it on my wall!
