Tonight was the eighth and last night of Chanuka! Here's what our window looked like:

And here are the last licks, trying so hard to hang on. We'll miss you until next year, Chanuka!

Please do participate with me in this week's edition of Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors! All you need to do is post a photo of a window, door, or anything architectural, link here, and post a link back to your photo in the widget below. Don't forget to refresh the page to make sure your that your link worked!

By the way, I think I figured out how to make a button! Thanks to Dianne for the encouragement, and to Beth for the tutorial! Here it is, please help yourselves:

Thanks so much for coming, I can't wait to see what you've posted!

Your windows will be sad to have those lovely candles (and their reflections) gone.

I LOVE all your Hanukkiahs! Wow, they make an amazing display. As we live in a wooden house, surrounded by Eucalyptus trees, I'm still a bit paranoid about lighting my hanukkiah! My favourite of yours is the one with the orange candles in it. I love the ceramic modern holders. We bought a similar one when we went to Jerusalem a few months after our marriage. I consider it a work of art in our very simple home. Blessings to you and Chag Sameach.

The lighting is so exquisite and love the romantic reflection of the light in the first photo!

The candles at full strength add a glow, a life that is as full as their flames. I suppose the fact that the candles burn down may be viewed by many as being a bit sad, though not me. The candles completed their function, and as the flame is snuffed outside, the warmth of the feeling remains inside us still. THe glowing reflections are fabulous, the eighth and final day the most brilliant. Happy New Year (in any calendar) to you and yours!

Toby, I have just discovered your meme, via NixBlog in Melbourne. I will reserve a speace for you next Wednesday. Are you hoping to put the linky up about 1am Tel Aviv time each Wednesday? Sort of ... ? That would make it about um ... about 8am Sydney Summer time. Cool ...

Welcome, Julie, I'm so glad that you found me! Originally I had thought to post early morning Tel Aviv time, around 6:30 AM, but I soon realized that most of my participants are ready much earlier than that! So yes, my current plan (hope) is to post this around midnight between Tuesday and Wednesday. I look forward to seeing your entry!
