Mellow Yellow/Macro Monday! At the train station

Taking the train this past week, I found these fascinating textured tiles on the platform, to keep people from walking too near to the edge. They start out mild, and get more and more strongly textured as you get closer to where you're not meant to walk. I don't know if it works, but I think that the system is very cool. And even a little bit beautiful!

I don't often have anything to post for Mellow Yellow Monday, so I was especially pleased to find this! For more yellowish photography, go check out that weekly meme, right now! And for more close-up photography, check out Macro Monday! Have a wonderful Monday, everyone!

Love the angle of your last. At first I thought it was a tin roof. Well done.

Very interesting!
It is a reminder to me to look down, take notice of what is underfoot!
Have a blessed day!

I used to work for the transit agency in Tampa. We put the texturing with the bumps that are flat on top down for our blind patrons so they could tell they were at the edge of pavement.

I especially love the last one!

I suppose the texture is designed to keep the ice from forming - which probably doesn't happen around there...perhaps traction from rain. I don't know, but at least a hint of cool style. Whatever the reason, it looks neat!
