A Ruby Red Field

Last month, a bright red field cropped up suddenly on the side of a road. It was the biggest thing I've ever seen, and most everyone I know went to see it for themselves and take pictures. Sadly, the day that I took my daughter and her friend, the sun had gone behind some clouds, but it was spectacular nonetheless. Check this out - and feel free to click on any of these if you'd like a closer view!

Welcome back to your favorite little meme!

Here's the next in my Yemin Moshe photowalk series. If you don't know what I'm talking about, feel free to check out last week's post. At any rate, I do have some other tiny windows to post, but I've decided to go with this nice set that I found:

Here are my new friends: the Papa door, Mama window, and teeny tiny Baby window. Awww.

Now it's your turn! To participate in Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors, just post a photo of a window, door or anything architectural, link here, and then sign up in the widget below any time this week. What fun! A ridiculous shadow shot

Well, my blogging has taken over the household. It's gotten so that when my eleven year old daughter spotted herself in shadow form, rather than think happy Peter Pan thoughts, she called me immediately: Eema! I found you a shadow shot for Sunday! And so, with no further ado:
Of course once I had it, I naturally couldn't resist posting :)

For more shadowy photography, check out Shadow Shot Sunday 2 right now! You'll be glad that you did. Happy Sunday, everyone!

Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors! #27

Greetings all, and welcome back to our favorite little meme!
As you may have seen from my previous shadow shot, I spent a couple of hours on a photo walk last week. We wandered around Yemin Moshe, a tiny neighborhood in Jerusalem, very nearby the Old City. I've been near it more times than I can count, and somehow hadn't ever actually walked through. At any rate, wow! This place is beautiful - each home more picturesque than the next. And what a lot of interesting windows and doors! I'm going to try to hold back and not post more than one or two a week, we'll see if I can resist...

At any rate, here's the first one that I found - an itty bitty window. Isn't it sweet?

Now it's your turn! To participate in Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors, just link up below with your photo of a window, door, or anything architectural. Climb aboard! Thanks for coming, all, and have a great week!

Shadow Shot Sunday - Your Choice!

I was lucky enough to be out on a photo walk a few days ago with the great Yehoshua Halevi. Right at the beginning, we found this lovely walkway, and started trying to decide the best way to capture it. So - do you like it better all on its own?

Or with a human in it, to give us a sense of scale and motion?

I can't decide :)
For more lovely shadows, do check out Shadow Shot Sunday 2, that wonderful meme. You'll be glad that you did! Happy shadow hunting, everyone!
