Passover!

Sorry I haven't posted as often as usual - we've been busy, busy, busy! getting ready for Passover (Pesach, in Hebrew). And tonight is the big night! Here are a few photos that I managed to grab in the midst of the madness.

First, my scrubbed, shiny stovetop:

Next up, my clean countertop:

And finally, today, I opened our pack of matza! I was quite pleased to see that they all looked intact...

That's all, folks! Happy Pesach!

(In case any of these close-ups count as macros, I'll link to that great meme - Macro Monday. Check it out, over at Lisa's Chaos. It's a lot of fun!)

What is Passoer? Is it similar as we celebrate Easter, with good food, along with family and friends?

Maria - yes, Passover is the holiday where Jews celebrate leaving Egypt, from slaves to a free nation, thousands of years ago. We have a big meal with family and friends, and retell the story to our kids. It's a lot of fun!

The matza shot is amazing - what an interesting texture they have, and so crisp!

You can come and make my kitchen as shiny as yours, if you like. No pressure, just askin'. LOL!

good job making everything clean for celebration.

Spring cleaning takes on a different meaning when it's for Pesach. My non Jewish friends have no idea! We don't keep kosher but we "kasher" our stove, etc for Pesach.

Happy Pesach and MM

Oh my I wrote the traditional Hebrew saying from the Hagadah, not realizing you already live in Israel. (Love the Macro closeup of the matzoh texture)

I love your counter and the stove top looks unusual. I've never seen matza. I think these are great!

Thanks, everyone!
And lisaschaos - I just realized that it might look confusing... that's my stovetop without the racks! I took them off so that I could scrub better :)
