I happened to find this photo of a doorway that I took, back when we had our wintry storm a few months ago. I decided to post it now, in solidarity with all of you out there who are having a miserably cold and snowy winter! Here in Israel we're still in a drought, that storm was pretty much the beginning and end of our winter. Here's hoping it returns! And meanwhile, here's my snowy door:
Granted, at second glance, I see that there's not an awful lot of snow here. But it's the thought that counts, right?

Of course, it is not a lot of snow (which is okay, it has become a bit tedious here :). I like this fence and gate, so stylish by itself but what is so beautiful are those marble steps. It is a great find!
(As you know, Chicago gets more snow than either here or there normally. So I shouldn't really complain about the winter :)
