Remember Mamilla, the new-ish outdoor mall in Jerusalem? Well, I'm pleased to bring you a daytime view:
I've been to Mamilla about a dozen times, but only after looking up to take this picture did I notice what's going on here architecturally, and it's pretty cool: one side is built to look like old-time Jerusalem, while directly opposite is a more modern style. (You can actually see this in action, if you look carefully, in my previous Mamilla post, linked above.) They've done a nice job of this! I'm also curious as to what's behind those balconies - are they really apartments, as they're meant to seem? Or are they just super-fancy offices of the stores below? Fascinating :)
Now it's your turn! To participate in Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors! just post your photo of a window, door, or anything architectural, link here, and sign up in the widget, below. Thanks so much for coming by, and have a wonderful, whimsical week!

It may be modern - but the architecture here looks so classic in its stone facade. And balconies be faux or may not be, but add a nice detail. Old and new work well when there is the style and materials of the past are used so well together. And the weather looks beautiful!
