Welcome back to your favorite little meme!
Well, I have a few more photos I'd like to post from my trip to Tel Aviv a few weeks back, but I found myself on an unplanned trip to Jerusalem this morning, and actually got a very close-up shot of a building that I've liked for quite some time. So let's take a one week TA break, and check out this Jerusalem action:
This building is called Sha'arei Ha'Ir, which literally means City Gates, and it's located just down the street from the central bus station. I've always admired its gentle curve :)
Now it's your turn! To participate in Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors! just post your photo of a window, door, or anything architectural, link to it here, and then sign up in the widget. Then come back and visit the other players! You never know what you'll find...
Thanks for coming, everyone, and have a whimsical, wonderful week!

That's a great shot. You make the building look so good. I never noticed the fanciness along the top of it.
I have some ancient windows and half-buried doors of stone for you from my "neighborhood."
This is a very cool building! To me, everything today is so angular, straight lines leaving a stark scene. Here though, the soft gentle arc breaks through all the straight themes and adds a nice character to this large building. Nice find - a large structure that does not feel imposing...
Looking at the roof line, could there be a roof garden up there?
hi everyone - thanks!
and photodoug - yes, I think there is a garden up there!!
Shalom Toby! This is a great perspective on that building . . . and I like that "lacy" effect of the pierced border along the top of it too. Curves are always attractive in a building I think. A nice change from all the straight, square lines.
