Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors! #68

Wow, time flies! here we are, it's Monday again, time for your favorite little meme!
You know how I always say this meme is where you can post a photo of "a window, door, or anything architectural?" Well, this week I'm going to put my money where my mouth is, and post a photo of - well, can you tell what this is?
I was looking through my archives, and I came across that one. I couldn't for the life of me figure out what it was that I had photographed, back in 2010. Some interesting planters? Some kind of strange decorative roof design? Until I realized that the photo needed to be rotated a bit, and all was suddenly clear :)
Anyway :)
To participate in Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors! just post *your* photo of a window, door, or anything architectural, link here, and sign up in the widget below. I can't wait to see what you've found for us this time! Thanks for stopping by, and have a wonderful, whimsical week, everyone!

I am very happy that you rotated the view - i studied and studied it long before I scrolled down and couldn't decide what I was looking at...some kind of planter as you suggested. An interesting set of steps as the plants are mounted vertically in their planters when looking at it as it is...a whimsical edit it was - very cool!

How funny! We should look at the world differently once in a while. We might be surprised what we see. Where was it?

Sparrow - if my visual memory serves, this was in the Talpiot neighborhood of Jerusalem. I'll look for it the next time I'm there!

Haha, good one. What a difference 90 degrees make.

That's so interesting, that those flowers are growing out of their planters sideways. No wonder it took a minute to realize the photo was not right side up!

Isn't there an absorption centre in Talpiot? We visited it in 2004. I like that neighbourhood.
