Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors! #47

Welcome back to our wee meme!
You know how I always say that this meme is for "windows, doors, and anything architectural?" Well, I'm here today to put my money where my mouth is. I found an architectural detail that I really liked, and I wanted to share it, even though it's neither a window nor a door. True, there's an elevator door in the photo, but still - check out what I found while waiting in line at our bank in Jerusalem:
Do you see, do you see? Do you see what they did with the shape of the staircase poking through here from above? I don't know - maybe it's not unusual, but I know I've never seen anything like it before, and I thought it was really cool. I'm so glad to have a place to share it with you all!

Now it's your turn! To participate in Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors! just post *your* photo of a window, door, or anything architectural, link here, and sign up in the widget down at the bottom. Don't forget to go and visit the other participants, that makes it even more fun! Thanks for stopping by, everyone - have a wonderful week!

It looks as if the runner taking the stairs could arrive at the desired floor as fast as the elevator. Alas, I would have to take the elevator as gravity is only my friend downhill :)

That said, what a classy style here of stairs, elevator and colors. Banks can be stuffy, but this one has a style that is far from that!

There is really a lot going on in this picture. You have done composition well. Mine is not so much a window as what can be seen through it - so bending the rules a bit! Oh, and a warning, don't have your credit card near the computer when you view it - you may want to go shopping!

That IS very cool.
It looks familiar. I think I went in just once, years ago, to look around because it is a famous Bauhaus house.
Yes? No?

Dina - is it? I have no idea, it's the Bank Leumi on Ramban street, in Rehavia. You always know so much history about our buildings, I'm really impressed!

I have never seen the stair poking through like that, very unusual to me!

Well, since I am new on this side of the country, just since 2005, I still gaze and marvel at all the places that are new to me in Jerusalem. I take pictures and then go home and try to look up some info about them. For the blog.

Here's what I found about your bank:
