Well, this is the first week since starting this little meme that I'm forced to go and rummage around in my archives. It's been a busy week! Fortunately, I found a photo that I took just this summer at the
Israel Museum, in Jerusalem. I'm glad I had a chance to look back, otherwise it might have slipped through the cracks!
I realize that this might not seem too exciting, but I find it very interesting to see how modern architects, building super modern architecture, manage to build sleek new buildings while remaining faithful to Jerusalem's local law to line all its buildings with Jerusalem Stone. This stone, that seems so white during the day, but takes on a warmer hue when the sun rises and sets, really lends an interesting tone to the city. When I first used to drive around here, I always managed to get lost, and thought everything looked the same :)
Welcome back to our Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors, that fun meme where you can post doors of windows, doors, or anything architectural! Please play along - just post your photo, link here, and then sign up with the handy dandy widget below. And then go check out the cool photos from all over the world! Isn't it interesting how we're all so different, and yet so very similar :)
Thanks so much for coming by - have a wonderful week, everyone!
