A shadowy tree

When checking out the Jerusalem Forest a couple of weeks ago with my kids, I found this nice shadow. I had thought that the tree was too tall to get into one shot, but apparently its shadow wasn't :)

For more shadowy photography, check out Shadow Shot Sunday, over at Hey Harriet. Happy Sunday, everyone!

What a beautiful shadow shot, Toby! Such a crisp, clear one, too. Amazing when you see just the trunk of the tree in the photo, but the shadow of the whole tree! Wonderful! Hope you're enjoying a great weekend!

Great shadow shot! The tree shadow is at just the right length to get into the frame!

Beautiful shadow detail of the tree foliage! A nd love the way it crawls up the rocky embankment!

A tall tree in one frame is cool. The sunny day may show a need for shade, and this is a cool interlude in the heat of the day. Nice!

That was a clever way of capturing the entire length of the tree. In shadow form! I love the trunk of the tree with all the bark peeling away. I hope you have a lovely week ahead :)

Shadows are surprising and wonderful. They never turn out exactly like their origin. That is what I love about them!
