Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors! #100, baby!
Wow! We've reached triple digits in our fun little meme!
I was trying to think which windows and doors were possibly worthy of this post, when it occurred to me that since y'all seem to like photos of Jerusalem, perhaps you'd like the most classic photos of Jerusalem: those of the Old City walls. And so, with no further ado:
Here I spotted a satellite dish through an arrow-slit, which I thought was kind of cool - you know, the whole old-vs-new thing:
Meanwhile, my husband, who was standing a foot and a half to the right of me thought I was getting a shot of this silhouette, which I hadn't been able to see at all! Just goes to show that a little bit of perspective goes a long way :)

That guy was standing so still, we figure he must have been a statue or something...
Anyway, that's all for today, folks! Thanks for making these past hundred posts all the more fun - here's looking forward to the next hundred!

Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors! #99
Welcome back to your favorite little meme!
I found myself in Mamilla last week, one of Jerusalem's newest shopping centers. It's pretty classy, and located directly across from the Old City. And a lovely bonus: it looks quite charming at night!

Skywatch - Good, Better, Best!
I just can't decide which is which!
Here's what the sky looked like as I came home from grocery shopping, yesterday afternoon:
I was so excited! Gorgeous! These are the lovely, wispy, wintry clouds that I had so missed! But to my surprise and delight, when I went out again, about half an hour later, to take my son for a haircut, things had progressed further:
Amazing, right? Doesn't it look almost like an illustration?
And then, the grande finale arrived as we were driving home:
They're all amazing in my eyes - which do you like best? Feel free to click on any or all of them, if you'd like a closer view.

Coolest Shadow Shot EVER!
We went to the Israel Museum a couple of weeks ago, and saw a really cool exhibit full of optical illusions. There was a particularly cool part that involved shadow play, and I couldn't resist taking a photo to share with you all!
It was so cool!

Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors! #97
Here we are again, ready for your favorite little meme!
My kids have never been to Manhattan. Neither my husband or I are from NYC, and so when we've taken trips to see the US, it just hasn't really come up - we generally spend the little time we have with family. But like I said, we went all out this time, and so, since we were driving from Washington D.C. to Boston anyway, it seemed a nice idea to stop in the Big Apple for a day. When we first got to Times Square, my youngest (not so young, but still) looked up and me and asked, "no one actually *lives* here, right?"
:)
As always, feel free to click on any of the photos, to get a (much) closer view!
But things got prettier and less overwhelming as we moved on:
For those of you who are here to see some Israeli architecture, here it comes. Remember that tower that I photographed for you in the dark? Well, I finally made it back over there in the daytime :) Here it is, in all its glory!
Anyway, now it's your turn! To participate in Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors! just post your photo of a window, door, or anything architectural, link here, and sign up in the widget, below. That's it for now - have a wonderful, whimsical week, everyone!
I just realized that the signs in the top two photos are perfect for Lesley's weekly meme, which I quite unfortunately haven't participated in for far too long. So I'm linking there too - do go and check out Signs, Signs!
