Welcome back to your favorite little meme!
I went to Tel Aviv last week for dinner and had a great time - and I found lots of very non-Jerusalem stone covered buildings for you all to see! Here's the first in my collection:
Nice, right? And quite different from my usual pickings :)
Now it's your turn! To participate in Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors!
just post your photo of a window, door, or anything architectural, link
here, and sign up in the widget at the bottom of this post. Then go and
visit the other players! It's so much fun to see what things look like,
all over the globe!
Thanks for stopping by, everyone, and have a great week!

Nice find! With the modern style of steel and glass, the angular motif can be commonplace and dull. Except that here there are lots if interesting angular details, such as balconies and up top, the framing that supports not a window, but the air. Redundant maybe, but its being there makes this tower just a bit more different and stylish...
I love travelling to nearby communities and seeing the different personalities displayed in their architecture. It's almost always a surprise for some reason :)
Tel Aviv, nice place to visit but Jerusalem with all her Jerusalem stone is the only place to live in or near.
Hi Toby. The Jerusalem Botanical Gardens are making lots of improvements, I read. The Conservatory is closed now while they expand it.
Ralph - yes, that floating bit at the top is my favorite part :)
Lesley - me too! Amazing how something can be so close geographically and so far culturally!
Dina - I don't need convincing, you couldn't pay me to leave the fresh air of the Gush :) But Tel Aviv was a lot nicer than I remember!
And thanks for the heads up about the Botanical Gardens, we'll be sure to check them out!
Toby, the balconies grabbed my attention. Nice find.
Thanks, photodoug!
