Welcome back to your favorite little meme!
Well, my photos from Yemin Moshe are all used up, and so I needed to start finding some more windows and doors from my everyday life. Lo and behold, this entrance showed up, as I was walking down the street in Jerusalem one day:
I'm not sure why, but I really like the composition of different elements here! I hope you do too...
And now it's your turn! To participate in Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors,
just post a photo of a window, door or anything architectural, link
here, and then sign up in the widget below any time this week. Most importantly, have fun! Have a great week, everyone - thanks for coming by!

I love the unique (to my eyes) architecture over there - the stone facade is elegant and solid at the same time. The 45 deg angles add an interesting detail to the stark horizontal and vertical lines. This is a real beauty, a house of distinction. Lovely!
It's a wonderful photo, Toby...I love the contrast of those beautifully spikey plants against the stairs and the stone walls, and the lovely blue sky. And...you can never show too many Jerusalem windows or doors for me!
There is something pleasing about the angles. I like the mystery of wondering if that second upper 45 degree angle is really a continuing staircase and is it indoors or outside?
I like the white stone walls and the textured bits, but that smooth part on the top needs something. Still, I would love to have that terrace on top for myself!
The clean lines of the building contrast well with the ornate black window bars and rough stone. The architecture and stone remind me of The Getty Center buildings in Los Angeles. Truly lovely.
