Wowee, we've reached the big one-oh! I remember when I turned ten years old, and my Bubby told me that it was a very exciting age. Why? I had gained another digit, which wouldn't happen again, she wisely pointed out, until I turned 100! As you can see, the conversation left quite an impression on me :)
Anyway, our new little meme, Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors, is now in its double digits, and I'm just tickled to think about it. We all have access to windows, doors and more - and I know I have a great time finding good specimens to share with all of you! Thanks to you, my loyal posters and readers, who come back each week! Now please tell all of your friends to do the same :)
Anyway, onward to the photos! Here are some decorative courtyard windows that I found, only a couple of weeks ago. These are right outside the dining area of a wedding hall, and provide something nice to talk about when you're mingling and waiting to go in:

Perhaps not the very most useful windows when judged by which best keep you out of the rain, but these do pretty well on the adorable scale!
Please join our meme, Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors! The meme is open all week, so feel free to come back anytime and post your photo of a window, door, or anything architectural. Then link to your post, right here in the widget. Have a great week, everyone!

The painted 'window' is a wonderful thing - it adds the whimsy to the architecturally designed house (also lovely). The shutters on the additional window are a fun touch - even only if on the shady side of the house! The first view lets the windows feel as if there were no glass in them - a good picture sometimes gets our imaginations in gear!
Shalom Toby! I really love that first whimsical window, with the cat and the flower in a pot and the hearts too, and the shutters...it's all so charming!
I love windows and doors, too! Thanks for hosting this meme. Especially appealing to me are the clean lines of the tall windows contrasting with the wrought iron 'pretend' window on the wall.
I love that frame on the solid wall - what a great decorative feature!
This is a well done courtyard. I thought at first that those three windows in the first picture were glassless!
The courtyard itself has some interesting angles to it. That shuttered open window with the cat and flower pot is very charming.
Thanks, everyone!
Lovely shots. I wish I could sit in that garden with a large pot of tea and a new notebook to scribble stories in!
Hi there, I popped over from my friend Willow's blog and joined this for the first time. But, made a mistake on the linky..instead of typing my name, I typed the 'delirious doors', thought it was the title of my blog haha. Anyway, it was fun and great to have found this blog... :) hope you like my version of the door, MK..from Malaysia
M.Kate - I fixed the link for you, thanks for letting me know!
I just discovered this meme via M. Kates Blog and as I have recently started a photography blog think it would be fun to participate sometimes. I shall add the badge to my Meme list and will be back soon to take part. I hope we will be able to take an interest in each others blogs so I will add you to my photography blog roll.
