I really am so happy to have found all of these funky shadows - none of which I would have seen if I were traveling by car!
Naturally, I'm posting this to my favorite meme - Shadow Shot Sunday! It's beautifully hosted at Hey Harriet - go check it out right now! And - have a great week, everyone!

Fun, funky shadow shots for the day, Toby! I do love the bugs in particular! Hope your weekend is going well!

what a wonderful sequence - looks like the opening images to a quirky road movie!!
Watch out for that ominous-looking bug!
I ONCE HAD A SHADOW
I once had a shadow—or did she have me?
My shadow and I could never agree.
I would say something, she’d say the reverse;
Our arguments flared, my lips I would purse,
Refusing to speak to her anymore—
So my shadow got up and marched out the door!
I have not seen her from that day to this—
That’s one stubborn shadow I surely don’t miss!

What Great Shadows. Yes, you would have missed these wonderful shadows had you been in a vehicle. The weed shadows are cool. And, the little bug looks like a mean little critter. But he made a nice shadow. Thanks for sharing!
Oh my gosh, that beetle and its shadow is outstanding. Actually, all your captures are super!!!! Well done.
Vintage 1930's Basketball Team is my Shadow Shot today. Do stop by if you can find time.
Happy Sunday!!!
Wow that beetle... well done, yeah it may have freaked me out had I seen it as I was walking home but impressive shadow snap shot!
I enjoyed that walk! Isn't walking great? It's not only healthy, but also we're able to see so much more. That bug looks large! I bet it would appear way smaller viewing if from the window of a passing bus ;)
Have a great week!
Very lovely! What kind of insect is that? He's wearing amazing armour:-)
What phenomenal Pics! Great "EVERYTHING" man!!!!
Love it,
John popped over form Hey Harriet's!!!
Hello Toby, thanks for the comment recently on my blog. I'm finally getting around to visiting again. So...I guess you were walking home when you saw these amusing shadows. I love the flower heads in the first two; they look so happy somehow! And that armored bug...he's rather remarkable. The wild mustard, of course, looks just like Southern California to me. Great shots.
