Ruby Tuesday number nine for me!

Wow, time is flying! I'm up to my ninth ruby (and I haven't even posted every week).

Here are some flowers I found growing happily near the parking lot of my office, a few weeks ago:

As always, click on a photo to enlarge it. These are really velvety when seen up close!
And don't forget to check out other Ruby Tuesday specials here

Pretty rubies these are. The fuzzy texture is like velvet, and the red leaves stand out in that sea of green. Nice captures!

Thanks, everyone! I can tell you that the area where I work has a lot of planted roses, and as a result, a bunch more have cropped up spontaneously here and there. Which exactly these are, I couldn't say, but they were intoxicating!

they are pretty and am sure, a nice surprise to find them in the parking lot.

They do look like velvety roses. I love how some kinds of roses climb around and crop up where they like. Some of the other flora look interesting, too; I see evergreen and some other pinkish flower.

Lovely roses. They look almost like wild ones, with their single layer of petals.
