Here we are, back again for your favorite little meme!
I'm going to tell you a secret - I'm not really here! Shhhh. I'm on vacation, but I got this ready last week, so that you'll all have a comfy spot to post your windows and doors. I apologize if I don't comment on your posts straight away - I do appreciate your coming by to post them, I just may not have email access this very second... but I do promise to come by and see what you've posted as soon as I can!
Anyway, here's what I'm sharing with you this week:
Something about these pillars that I found in Jerusalem makes me a teeny tiny bit nervous - don't they look a little bit too skinny to hold all that up? I'm sure it's fine... I mean, yes, I'm totally sure it's fine :)
Now it's your turn! To participate in Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors!
just post your photo of a window, door, or anything architectural, link

Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors! #86
Welcome back for yet another week of your favorite little meme!
I went to pick my daughter up from a friend's house not long ago. As I was pulling up, I found this house, just a few doors down. My poor kids have all grown accustomed to waiting patiently as their crazy mama jumps out of the car to "just grab a shot of this one thing," and so they may have rolled their eyes as I did, but they didn't complain. I hope you all agree that this was worth the effort - aren't these interesting specimens? For a split second I considered coming back in the daylight, and I may yet do that, but I really enjoyed the effect that the night has on this scene - I quite like it!
Do feel free to click on the photo to enlarge it as much as possible, if you'd like a closer view!
And now it's your turn! To participate in Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors! just post your photo of a window, door, or anything architectural, link to it here, and sign up in the widget, below. Then go and visit the other players!
My husband and I are flying off to a fantastic family vacation this week, and so I'm going to try now to prepare some upcoming posts for while I'm gone. I do hope that everything works smoothly, and deeply apologize if anything goes wrong! Either way, I hope to be back in person on August 13th, so it all should work out by then :) Do forgive me if I'm not 100% attentive before that :)
Have a wonderful, whimsical week, everyone - thanks so much for stopping by!

Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors! #85
Welcome back to your favorite little meme!
I'm just stopping by to quickly post this before bed - check out these cool balconies (and accompanying windows and doors) that I found while waiting at a red light in Jerusalem, a couple of weeks ago!
and a closer shot:
I like these a lot - I always like things that started out identical, but ended up so very individualized...
Anyway - now it's your turn! To participate in Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors! just post your photo of a window, door, or anything architectural, link here, and sign up in the widget, below. Then go and visit the other players, it's always so much fun to see what's been posted, from all over the world! Have a great week, everyone!

Whimsical Windows, Delirious Doors! #84
Welcome back to your favorite little meme!
About a week ago, I found myself at Binyan Clal, a big building in the center of Jerusalem. When I first came to Israel, in the early 1990's, this building was pretty much the main Jerusalem mall. Always bustling, full of cute little shops and even a movie theater, it was a great hangout.
Nowadays, since the opening of the Malcha mall about twenty years ago, Binyan Clal is awfully quiet. There are a lot of offices there, and some very small, sad shops, but that's about it. And still, walking through it on the way to my errand, I found myself suddenly nostalgic. If nothing else, this place has really interesting architecture! And so, naturally, I stopped a second to grab a couple of shots to share with you...
Yes, there are elevators too - it's not as inaccessible as it seems at first glance :)
