A Seasonal Ruby Tuesday
How can you tell that Rosh HaShana, the Jewish New Year, is fast approaching, here in Israel? Easy - just walk into any grocery store, and you'll be greeted by these in the produce section:

I LOVE pomegranates but they aren't in our stores yet. It's funny how many North Americans have never tasted this fruit.
ReplyDeletePatti - these are pomegranates, sweet and delicious. A sure sign are the "crowns" on top!

ReplyDeleteSorry if I was misleading - the crown on top of each one is a hint that they are pomegranates - not that they are sweet :)

ReplyDeleteQuiet a number of my Chinese neighbour grew pomegranates tree in a pot,the leaves are used to chase away bad luck, I think.
